Art Prints & Photo Books
What are art prints?

Art Prints also known as giclée printing, are high-quality prints. Unlike cheap prints on photographic paper, Art Prints depict rich details, colors, and nuances to the highest degree possible.

The exceptional quality of art prints comes from the rich colors and sharp details of the print to the paper or canvas it's printed on, and even the inks used in the printing process. These prints are done on high-grade, acid-free paper (also known as cotton rag) or canvas made by Hahnemühle FineArt paper or Felix Schoeller (both German companies making top quality cotton rag). This ensures the print's longevity and resistance to fading over time. The inks used are usually pigment-based archival inks, which are known for their color fastness and durability.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
What kind of paper is used for printing?EventArt Photography's high end art prints are printed on acid free paper also known as cotton rag with out without texture or on canvas of high quality. The material (paper or canvas) is made in Germany by Hahnemühle FineArt GmbH or Felix Schoeller a world renowned manufacturers of top quality paper and canvas. Sometimes we also use Illford canvas and art paper and Somerset paper both belong to UK and produce equally great quality art papers.
-
Do you also offer cheaper print quality? We do not recommend normal, cheaper prints as they do not last long and fade overtime. Your memories will be lost forever. EventArt Photography is about high quality and providing cheaper quality material to our clients goes against our quality policy hence that wouldn't be possible.
-
What is the turn around time for prints to be delivered?10 to 15 days without framing 20 to 25 days with framing Duration varies depending on your location. The printing will be done in Mumbai or Bangalore hence they need to be shipped to Gurgaon first for quality control. Once the prints pass the QC, they will be framed (if ordered) and then shipped again or hand delivered (for locations <10Km from Sahara Mall, Gurgaon). There are multiple moving parts, multiple dependencies and people hence the delivery timelines will vary. However you will keep getting updates till you have the prints/framed prints with you.

What are Art Prints? Why are they so expensive?Art prints are high quality photo prints - high quality of paper, high quality of printing as well. The paper used to make Art prints is Art Paper - it is acid free and naturally white and textured in many ways and is made with cotton mixed with pulp (called cotton rag), you also can opt for art canvas. Art paper/canvas is known to last for more than 450 years. Paintings by great artists made in 15th century still exist today. (Eg. Mona Lisa by Leonardo Da Vinci). Such high quality paper is made in Germany or UK and has to be imported (it is expensive even if you buy it right outside the factory). Printing on such high quality paper needs high quality machines and inks which are also expensive. Art prints are nothing like you have seen before (perhaps) - normal photo prints don't last even a decade if you toss them around. They start absorbing moisture from the air, they develop blemishes and fade over time - they are not meant to last forever (unlike Art paper) and that's why they are cheap and worthless. And I don't deal in cheap prints.
-
I want prints to be delivered urgently. Can you arrange that?Yes, that can be arranged however additional courier charges will apply. Please let me know your requirement and I will give you the additional charges as per your requirements. However I would advice you against haste if you can help it.
-
What kind of frames are used for framing the prints? We use standard 1 inch wide PVC frames in tan/brown/black colors - which is what is included in the cost of framing. However, ff you are interested in exploring different available designs, the same will be shared with you and the prices will be adjusted accordingly.
-
What do we do if any of us are not well on the day of the shoot? It’s no problem at all to reschedule the session if any of you are unwell.
-
What if it rains or the weather is not suitable or conducive for the shoot?I’ll always get in touch with you a few days before your session to finalize details. This is also a good time to check the forecast. If the weather is not suitable, I’m always happy to rearrange the session. The weather can make a huge difference to the photographs, so I’d usually recommend waiting for a better day. Or you are very welcome to go ahead with raincoats if you are feeling brave!
-
My son/daughter is overactive and doesn't 'behave'. How do we go about the shoot?I want the whole session to be fun for them, and it really doesn’t matter whether they ‘behave’ or not. There really is no pressure on them, and hopefully they’ll just be enjoying themselves. If they really aren’t happy at any point, then I’m always happy to take a break, or change what we are doing. I’ve photographed so many families over the years, I promise you nothing will faze me, so please don’t worry at all.
-
How long does a photo session take?Sessions usually take around 60-90 minutes, although I always suggest you allow 2 hours just so that we don’t feel rushed. I’m happy to be flexible and work around your family, so we can stop for snacks and breaks, etc.
-
How many family members can be in the shoot? Please refer to the packages given under pricing for the details.
-
Where do you shoot family portraits?Indoors with or without a backdrop or outdoors or both. It is entirely up to you. Let us talk and plan what would be best for your family. It depends on what you would like the photographs to look like.
-
What is the best time of the day to shoot? If we are shooting at your home, we can shoot at any time as per your or your family's convenience. If we are shooting outdoors, evening is the best time to shoot. Depending on the weather it can be anytime after 3pm in winters and 4pm in summers.

We are having a housewarming party at our home, can you take a few pictures of the property at that time?I can take a few pictures of the house however if you need a complete property coverage that needs to be planned and done some other time and charged extra.
-
Do you make/design albums?Yes, I do design albums of the photos and get them printed by professional printing services like Canvera. These albums will be shipped to you directly by courier. Get in touch with me to know the prices.
-
What's not covered or included?Solo photo shoots, outdoor photos (if the event is being held indoors), any photos to be taken out of the venue of the event but not part of the event unless agreed before hand in writing through WhatsApp or email. Rest of the details are given as a part of the package and pricing details and accompanying Terms and conditions.
-
Our home is not well lit, will you be able to take good photos? or Will you use umbrella lighting because the lighting is not very good at the venue?I carry my own off camera flash equipment and use it as I deem fit - for photography. You don't have to worry about these details, that's what you are paying me to do, right? Bottom-line is this: you will get well exposed photos, no matter what - not dark, unusable photos. However I won't be able to light up the whole area - please get in touch with a decorator for the same.
-
What is the resolution of your cameras? In what resolution will we get out photos?Photos are shot on cameras with resolution of 24 to 36 mega pixels. However final photos are shared in 72dpi of 1mb size (approximately). If you have any specific requirements, please let me know.
-
We want an album. Do you give albums as part of the package? For the sake of transparency in pricing, I don't combine the charges for shooting and album making. Albums come in different sizes and qualities, you can choose what fits your needs. The answer is Yes, you can get an album.
-
What happens to our photos after you share them with us?After you get a download link, photos are deleted.
-
How much waiting time included in the shoot?Waiting time is part of the total shoot duration. You will be charged as per the total actual shoot duration.
-
We are hosting a small party with a very few people. Do you offer discounts for smaller parties?Event photography charges are based on effort and duration of the shoot and for up to 100 guests attending.
-
Will the photos be blurry, dark or having any other problems? No, I never share such photos. Either they will be corrected if possible or I will have other identical photos to give you (I take more than one photo usually so that wouldn't be a problem). However sometimes some shots are missed and that's the reality of life. It is not humanely possible to get everything 100% right. But I can assure you that they will be a very few exceptions like that.
-
Parties at homes, pubs, bars and restaurants with dim lighting, small spaces?Yes, often ceremonies are held at home or in placed with limited space. That is not going to be a problem as I carry my own flash equipment. However please make sure that you are doing all you can to arrange adequate lighting. Video in low lighting will not give you the results you may be looking for.
-
Do you arrive on time? What happens if you don't?I arrive on time because I start before hand planning to arrive by promise time. If there are unforeseen, exigent circumstances, I will let you know. In any case you pay as per my actual shoot duration. In years of experience, I never arrived too late to shoot, rest assured.
-
How are the photos shared?Through a link that you can use to download the photos. For easy access to photos, for sharing with friends and family, I can also upload them to your Google Photos, Dropbox, Evernote or any other app of your choice.
-
We are hosting a birthday party for our kid, can also do a baby photoshoot along with it?I will take some solo photos of the baby, some photos of the baby with the parents and other guests right at the place where you are hosting the party. However doing a photoshoot at a different location on the same day is not possible - a shoot like that will need to be planned separately and will also be charged extra.
-
We are having an engagement event, can you also do a pre-wedding shoot for the couple?I can take a few couple shots at the venue but won't be able to do a pre-wedding shoot at the same time. Pre-wedding shoot needs to be planned and shot at a different location, separately and charges apply separately.
-
Is there a time limit for the event coverage?Yes, please refer to the charges shared with you - charges are based on the actual duration of the shoot not planned duration. I charge based on how long I was at the location shooting the event.
-
The party will be held at large banquet halls or large homes or resorts, will you be able to cover everything? If you are having a gathering of more than 100 people in a large area, please let me know the details for custom pricing.
-
We are having a baby shower at our home can you also do a maternity shoot along with it?Combining baby shower event shoot with a maternity photoshoot is not feasible. Maternity shoot needs planning and preparation and needs to be done separately. In any case, it will be charged extra and not a part of event photography.
-
Do you give all the photos you shoot?I share with you all the good photos of the event. But there will be photos in which people blinked, or made awkward face or expression, photos where there is camera shake, flash misfire, accidental misfire, focus blur, or otherwise photos which didn't turn out to be good aesthetically - these photos are deleted, never processed and shared with anyone under any circumstances.
-
